Frontend Engineering Intern

Description

Help build UI components for dashboards and chart interactions. You’ll work with engineers and designers to ship polished experiences and learn how design systems stay consistent across a product.

What you’ll do

• Build reusable UI components (HTML/CSS/JS)
• Prototype micro‑interactions for charts and filters
• Fix small bugs and iterate on UX details
• Write basic component tests and story examples
• Collaborate on accessibility and performance budgets
• Pair with senior engineers to ship features end‑to‑end
• Document components so designers and PMs can self‑serve
• Help triage UI issues coming from users or QA

Requirements

• Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript; eagerness to learn
• Fundamental understanding of web accessibility (ARIA, focus, contrast)
• Based in New York City or able to collaborate remotely across US-friendly time zones
• Good communication and teamwork
• Some exposure to a component framework (e.g., React) and Git workflow
• Curiosity about performance profiling and responsive layouts
